Engineering company spreads love to Stepping Stone Hospice staff

The delivery of the food hampers was met with smiles and heartfelt thanks from Stepping Stone Hospice staff, who were touched by Simmer Engineering’s generosity.

In the true spirit of the holiday season, Simmer Engineering has made a heart-warming gesture by donating 45 bags of food hampers to the dedicated staff at Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services.
The donation, which arrived just in time for Christmas, brought smiles and gratitude to the hardworking team who tirelessly care for patients and their families.

On December 12, John van der Merwe, from the engineering company, visited the hospice to deliver the much-appreciated food hampers. Each bag, consisting of various food items, was worth R500.
Each hamper was filled with festive treats, essential groceries, and thoughtful goodies aimed at making the holiday season a little brighter for the hospice staff.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation from Simmer Engineering, and I want to extend our deepest gratitude for their continued support over the years. Our staff work tirelessly to provide compassionate care, and this gesture of kindness means the world to them. It’s wonderful to see the community come together to recognise and appreciate their hard work,” said Tersia Burger, founder and CEO of Stepping Stone Hospice.

The engineering company expressed its commitment to spreading love to hospice and continuing to show its support.

“Stepping Stone plays a crucial role in our community, and we are honoured to support their amazing team. This festive season, we wanted to show our appreciation for the incredible work they do every day, as they are so close to our hearts,” John said.
