Successful Charity Golf Day Raises R50k for Stepping Stone Hospice

Stepping Stone Hospice founder and CEO Tersia Burger thanked Mark Conradie for his incredible and generous efforts in organizing the fundraising Golf Day, which saw them generously receive a R50 000 donation.

In a touching tribute to his late parents, Mark Conradie of Emisha Card Payments organized a remarkable Charity Golf Day at Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate over the past weekend to raise funds for Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services.

The sun shone brightly as golfers of all ages and abilities teed off for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.

This event, held in aid of Stepping Stone and The Marian Rose Foundation, was a resounding success, bringing the community together and raising significant funds to support the hospice that had provided compassionate care to his parents during their final days.

Both charities received a whopping R50 000 donation from the golf day.

Stepping Stone Hospice founder and CEO Tersia Burger thanked Mark Conradie for his incredible and generous efforts in organizing the fundraising Golf Day.

“Thank you, Mark, for organizing this incredible event. We are so grateful for your generosity! I loved the air show and the chipping competition. The funds raised will go straight into the next phase of our big project – the Adult Unit’s building fund. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of continued support,” she said.

She noted that Mark started off by organizing a golf day that raised R15 000 for them, and over the years, his fundraisers have grown significantly since then.

“He is so compassionate and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Mark was the first person I told that we were looking into opening a Children’s Unit, and he never hesitated to financially assist. When I again told him that plans were underway to extend our services to opening a 14-bed Adult Unit, he again offered to assist, and for that we’re grateful,” Tersia said. Tersia also extended her appreciation to locals and businesses who continue to show their support to ensure that their doors remain open.
