And what a grand, inspirational and entertaining day it turned out to be. From exquisite French-champagne tasting, to equally exquisitely-dressed ladies, it was certainly one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Motivational speaker, Susan Coetzer, got the ladies thinking with her plea to “enter a season of kindness. Be aware of each other, really look and listen to each other. Remove the stones from your heart and be an example of true and gentle kindness,” she said.

Tobi Jooste, South African singer, model, writer and television personality entertained the ladies with some beautiful songs in his trademark baritone voice. His handsome looks also didn’t go unnoticed.

For Corlia, the Tea achieved what she had set it out to be: “something ‘Grand’, where you can dress up and enjoy being totally spoilt for the day.”

“I’ve had a passion for this organization from the very beginning,” she says. “In fact, we hosted one of Stepping Stone’s very first major fundraising events when they first opened their doors (in 2013). They need all our help to move forward and I believe they offer a vital service to the community. I would hate to see an organization such as this struggle due to a lack of funding. They are my charity of choice and they inspire me.”

Kuomotso Mokoena was the winner of the prize for Best Dressed Lady, judged by the famous Jenni Button – synonymous with glamour, elegance and sophistication nationally and internationally.

“Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Corlia for the amazing event she brought to Alberton in aid of our hospice,” says Stepping Stone CEO, Tersia Burger. “She managed to create an awareness of Stepping Stone Hospice and to inspire and encourage people to give of their time. We are truly proud to have Corlia representing us as our Patron. She is certainly one in a million.”
