Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services was chosen as the beneficiary and a cheque of R50 000 was handed over on 25 February 2016 to Stepping Stone Hospice CEO, Tersia Burger.
“How wonderful to see how you are paying it forward, and please be assured that your money will be put to good use,” said Tersia. Plans are well underway to extend the existing In-Patient Unit in New Market Park to accommodate 12 wards, which will also include an adolescent unit, she explained.
According to Grant Skinner, MD of Itec South, his mom was cared for in her last days in the unit and “I have the highest respect for the work hospice is doing in our community.” Itec South’s engineer, Dian Visser’s dad was also cared for in Stepping Stone’s In-patient Unit.
Itec South is a professional solutions company offering expert services in office automation, telecommunications and voice and data products.
