A Kiddies Cake Carnival in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice
Any child’s dream - to be let loose around a table stacked with cakes ready to be iced and decorated!
Pick ‘n Pay in Lemon Tree Mall, New Market, has launched their Kiddies Cake Carnival, set to take place on Saturday 15 June 2019 from 09:00 till 14:00 at the Pick ‘n Pay court in the Lemon Tree Shopping Centre.
All children between the ages of 5 and 12 are invited to participate in the different age group categories at R30 per entry. Not only do they stand to win some awesome prizes, but also get to take their decorated cake home!
“This is our time to say thank you to the community and give back – in this instance to an organization who has touched so many lives and who needs our support,” says Jason Luscos, Pick ‘n Pay store manager.
All proceeds of this event, including the sale of raffle tickets, will be donated to Stepping Stone Hospice in the form of grocery vouchers.
“It’s an absolute blessing,” says Tersia Burger, CEO of Stepping Stone Hospice. “We are currently on a huge fundraising drive, but also taking a hard look at our costs and where we can save. Our monthly grocery bill is in the region of R15 000, so with Pick ‘n Pay now assisting us through their Kiddies Cake Carnival, we can save quite a bit on that bill,” she explains.
Parents are invited to bring their kids, and while the young ones are being entertained with face-painting and decorating the cakes, the adults can do their shopping as Pick ‘n Pay promises to have many in-store specials on the day!
Raffle tickets are already on sale in-store and at R50 per ticket, you can win a 43inch LG LED television set, a second prize of a full lamb and a third prize a Huawei Y5 Lite.
Don’t forget to diarise this date, guaranteed fun (and bargains) for the whole family.
