With October being Hospice Awareness Month and Friday the 11th October dedicated to the 21 million children worldwide in need of palliative care, Tersia also asked the learners to wear a hat on Friday the 11th of October as part of the #HATSON4CPC campaign. Head of the Grade 3’s, Mrs Previna Naidoo, then send a photo of a group proudly displaying their hats on the day.
This is not the first time Glenanda Primary has assisted and acknowledged the work Stepping Stone Hospice does. A Flip-flop civvies day on 28 March 2018 at Glenanda Primary led to two laptops and a cash donation of R2120 handed over to Stepping Stone Hospice. The laptops are now used in the new newly established Centre for Palliative Learning at Stepping Stone Hospice.
