Hospice proud owner of their own bakkie

A very excited Stepping Stone Hospice team took ownership of their very own pick-up bakkie, proudly sponsored by Rene Matthee (front right) and her team at AC Industrial Cleaning! AC Industrial Cleaning has been a proud partner of this hospice for a few years now - on a monthly basis their team "spring-clean" the hospice’s In-Patient Unit in New Market Park from roof to floor, and provide them with goods such as cleaning materials etc on a regular basis.

The bakkie will be mainly used to collect 2nd hand goods donated to the hospice, which in turn gets sold. The selling of 2nd hand goods has become a valuable source of income for the hospice as they are totally reliant upon the generosity of the community, public sector, fundraising, bequests, donations in lieu of flowers, patient accounts and the sale of secondhand clothes and goods.
