Visit from America
American producer of the movie "Song of the Soul - Stories of Hospice in SA", Cathe Kobacker, and Pat Gibbons, director of Beacon Place Hospice & Palliative Care in Greensboro, North Carolina, paid Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services a visit last week and expressed their amazement at the rate this facility has grown in the past year.
athe visited Stepping Stone Hospice in June last year at which time the In-Patient Unit in New Market Park had five dignity rooms. Recent expansion led to the In-Patient Unit now offering eight dignity rooms with plans already well underway to extend even further. Pat explained her visit as an “on-going learning experience. It is always good to visit and talk to other hospices, at the end of the day we all strive to improve our services to our patients and yes, we can only learn from each other,” she says.
